Wedding Mailing address: 7371 Gabriel Drive City, State, Zip: Bryans Road, Maryland 20616 Dear Easy, Thank you for responding. My father-in-law's name is Stephen Winfield (Windy) Wedding. In his 1st tour to Vietnam Jan. 1966-Feb. 1967 he was CoC2dBn27thInf25Inf.Div. at that time he was a (E-6) SSG, on his 2nd tour Nov. 1968 - Nov. 1969 he was with CoC3dBn506th and CoC2dBn506th and was an (E-7) PSG. the correct spelling is WEDDING. I would appreciate any help you can give. We would like to find anything out we can about him and his time in Vietnam. We are looking for photo's of him when he was in Vietnam. There aren't to many. My mother-in-law has a few from when he returned home. She has some from when he served in Korea, because he sent them to her. But we are having trouble finding any from his Vietnam tours. I promise to send some to you as soon as we can find any, if I can't find any, I will send one from as close to that period of time as I can. As for pictures of anyone who served with him, again, Korea is the only ones we could find. My mother-in-law is going through his things that she packed away many years ago when he passed away. He put most of his things from that time in a box in the closet. He wanted to forget it. I don't think he lived long enough to get to the point of being able to think about it and come to terms with it all. I have been doing alot of reading about Vietnam, books written by men who where there. I was born in 1967 and was never taught anything about it. I feel very cheated. I don't understand why it was never taught in school. I have been telling my children what I learn, I want them to know what their grandfather went through, what he stood for, what he did for his family and the United States. I have nothing but the upmost respect for all the soldiers who served there and in all the other wars. If you happen to come across any photo's of him, please send them to me. Anything you can tell us, we would love to hear. Again, Thank you so very much. I will keep in touch. Sincerely, Terri |
