dear bonnie!
forgive me for not replying to you sooner. actually, i can't remember if i sent you something after i saw your name on the virtural wall. one of the problems many of us have is short term - long term memory problems.
i am glad kenneth wrote you. his brother george (wally) was my best friend in vietnam. it seems like this year some of the men from our platoon and the families are making some contacts and that can be a good thing ... it can be good for the healing process.
i served with the wolfhounds company a 1/27 2nd platoon from february to september 1967. i was searching my memory to see if i had ever met or remembered your brother and at this time i don't recall him. we may have been in the same company but different platoons. and to tell the truth some of us that were around each other every day can't remember one another. we realize we know the same people and that our paths did cross.
do you have any photos of your brother or any photos he may have sent home from vietnam that you could share with me?
i lost some "best friends" june 3rd 1967 one of several bad days i recall and i would like to think that though i don't remember him and that we may not have met personally, he was a WOLFHOUND AND ONCE A WOLFHOUND ALWAYS A WOLFHOUND ....... AND HE IS NOT FORGOTTEN!
it would be an honor to talk to you.
