GUESTBOOK ARCHIVES # 1

JULY 2000 TO DECEMBER 2002

Frank White Sunday, 12/29/02, 8:25 AM

Easy, Thank you very much for providing this page from the great "Wolfhounds" heritage! Go-Go'ers; Danny, Dick, and David, told me about getting to attend your Reunion in DC, and the honor of getting to walk in front of "The Wall" on Veteran's Day together! Also, thank you for visiting "They Called Them Guns A Go-Go"; together, our rich heritage is being written for future generations to see, and none of it would ever be possible without dedicated soldiers like yourself! Godspeed, Frank White (Webmaster)

Welcome home to the 2nd best Rgmt in the US ARMY.Of course the 22ndRGMT was the best. The Wolfhounds had more than their fare share of casualties, especially for me was one of my best friends.BRUCE E KERNDL KIA 11/4/66, from Miller Place,NY.Bruce will always be remembered by his buddies. If Bishop or Powell is out there, i would like to talk to you about Bruce.I am so glad Bob Hope had Chistmas dinner with you guys in Dec,1966. I declined Bishop's gracious offer to join you guys for dinner with Bob Hope because i felt I was intruding on your honor as Bob Hope always tried to have dinner with the most deserving soldiers. After what you Alpha guys went thru in 1966, you sure were the proper selection. Nice site Easy, thanks for letting me sign your guestbook

Hey my good buddy, "Easy"!! This is your V.F.W. Post 301 Commander here and I wanted to tell ya that I like the website man. It is something that I hope to get into doing someday, after my retirement from State Service and the Post Commandership. Sending a letter to our Chaplain - Joe G. - as I just found out that he ain't paid his dues yet for this year - - I can't believe that. He don't even show up as being a member of the Post from last year. HOW CAN THAT BE?? Did I screw up and let him be the Chaplain without him even paying his dues and joining. I must be getting old. See ya later on dude!! BARW.

Hello to all of my brothers! I know that Brother William has been promoting my new book at the PTSD meetings...and am happy to say that the publisher is now filling the orders and mailing out copies to those who have ordered them. For those of you who have already ordered a copy, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My back condition seems to have worsened and writing is about the only thing I can still do (propped up in bed with a table tray and laptop computer). My quality of life has decreased, but the personal pride I have attained from knowing that my work was good enough to publish has made up for it. Please feel free to check out my website for a synopsis and excerpt of my novel. For those of you who would like to order your own copy, you can do so directly from my site. Hopefully, I will be able to appear at a local bookstore for a signing in the near future...I will let you all know when that will take place and would be honored to autograph books for those who have already purchased them (and for those who may wish to purchase one at the signing). If any of you have your own websites as Brother William does, I would appreciate it a great deal if you would consider displaying my site banner link: http://home.earthlink.net/~rthegreat/_uimages/banner. gif - I thank you for your support and want you all to know that I miss you with all of my heart. 2001...more thoughts It was dead quiet until about 7. You could have parked right on Constitution Avenue. Buddy apparently was not going to show up as promised, so I ,with great apprehension wandered through the mist to the Vietnam Memorial. I had never been there alone before, let alone at 5.A.M. It was an eerie feeling, yet totally peaceful. It was as though the names on the wall were visiting me, not me them. I wandered through the Memorial, looking at the things people had left. A package of Marlboro's for Charlie, A framed picture of a soldier, who had been killed so many years ago. I thought to myself, "well at least that one now has a face on the wall ." There were wreathes there to be presented to fallen brothers from various units, and people to honor there friends from so long ago. There were the notes from school teachers asking for help to teach our children the truth and lessons of Vietnam, and I thought "where were these teachers 30 years ago". There were little flags, Canadian, POW and American, There were letters from school children, mothers, and wives. A can of Schlitz, a Zippo, and a single burning candle . All of those things meant something to someone on the wall. Only the Donor knows for sure, but that is enough. They are not forgotten. I sat at the wall and watched the sun come up..Alone, and able to just take it all in, in total solitude. I had much time to just think, and remember, and mourn, and talk to all of them without looking like a fool.....I remember it was the best of times, and it was the worst of times. I remember the friendships and the smiles, I remember the shared terror we went through occasionally, and we talked about it.....I remember the pain when I got the news the aircraft was gone, and the crew..but I remember. I remember it all. I will always remember

Easy Nice site, hope you are well and life is good for you. Don't remember much of my military days, but will never forget I am a Wolfhound. I was part of the guys that arrived on the same day of July 67 to form D companys of the first and second Wolfhounds. We had all come from the same AIT company @Fort Polk La. I liked Nam better than Fort Polk(no god dam alligators)!! Am at work, so will take a good look at your site when I get home. Need to get back on the Wolfhound list bot, send me the required info. Take Care, Dave

Hi, I have been compiling info. about my father, Plt. Sgt Bernard Alan Green and the "Wolfhounds" since Nov., 2000 for my mother, who never remarried and awaiting to be buried with him, as a gift. She is coming to live with my son and me in May, 2001. I really would like to know more of him and events. I realize some can be hurtfull, but I feel a need to know and so does she. If anyone would be so kind, and reply, it will be much appreciated. Thank you Donna Green and Alan Green

I now have Peripheral Neuropathy (PN), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), high levels of arsenic in my blood & urine (due to agent blue I believe). The VA just denies all claims except the PTSD, so what else is new. We must unite and fight for our benefits due for the Agent Orange damage done to us all! Thank you for sharing your site. I discovered that producing one is a double edged sword. Healing but painful. Let It Show Some judge age by the years other judge growth by the tears Some never seem to grow yet others suffer and eventually know.. how to love and let it show.. 1/2/99 David Gibson Enjoy your life today.. .You earned it.. Respectfully, Dave Gibson

Easy my brother, your words make me think, and they make me reflect about that time so long ago that influenced our lives forever...and those are things that make up good poetry. I appreciate your writing me about my work, "My Thousand Yard Stare." Nam imbedded many of us with a distinct set of feelings and experiences of real life and death matters that united those from differnet races and backgrounds into a brotherhood bonded with a common essence. We vets had a unique view on the realities and perspectives of life that gave us an attitude. I can easily see from your expressions, though we were in different units, our feelings and experiences were much the same.
