What u have created here is one fine view to enjoy and learn from....I was marching as a college student against the war in Vietnam 1966 to 1970..I was inducted into the US ARMY and did basic tng at Ft Lewis, Wash....I chose no preference for military occupation skill and closed my eyes and went with what developed....my hippie wife kissed me and said goodbye to me on the steps of the Oakland Army Induction Center as i stepped over bodies of hippie protesters to get to the entry doors, and said hello to a few protester that I did recognize from protests done in Sacramento...upon return in 72'my wife cried cuz she didnt recognize me and told me that she didnt know who the hell I was....but Lord Calvert made sense to me and Fosters lager did the job, between battlefield valor, unit integrity and bonding of warrior comraderie.....and the politics of the era and war machine....something seems to be missing and a sadness lingers always in the background as i remember the 12 high school compadres ...BROS', who live in the enraving on the wall and will never never be forgotten ....as for all the good u r doing now EZ ....WILL ALSO NEVER BE FORGOTTEN......EZ DUZ IT O D A A T Phil Rios, citizen / artist /federal "milk dat' cow" employee....vaya con dios.....GO WITH GOD

I am the oldest sister of my brother, Corpal Robert Carroll Smith, who served and gave his life 29 July 1968 for his country. He was in the United States Marine Corps, 1ST MP BN, 1ST FORCE SVC RGT, FORCE LOG CMD, 3RD MAF. I truly miss him very much. He, like so many others did what they felt they had to do. I really respect every Military person out there, whether it be Marines, Navy, Army, or Air Force. I think you all were and are the greatest. My prayers are with everyone of you. If you would like to see his picture you may veiw it at [htt://www.virtualwall.org/ds/SmithRC01a.htm]. A proud sister Barbara Rogers

My Great Grandfather James Lyons B 1843 in Ireland came to Anna Arundel Annapolis Maryland USA 1857 wife Annie B: 1858 in Ireland Anna Arundel Annapolis Maryland USA Grandfather Edward Lyons May 1893 Md wife Julia Washington DC Father Thomas Edward Lyons B:28 May 1915 D:21 Jun 1973 Washington DC God Bless Ed 25th.Infantry Division Vietnam SOLDIER I was that which others cared not to be. I went where others feared to go and did what others failed to do. I asked nothing from those who gave nothing. I reluctantly, accepted the thought of eternal loneliness-should I fail. I have seen the face of terror, felt the chill of fear, warmed to the touch of love. I have hoped, pained, cried. But, foremost, lived in times others would say best forgotten. At the very least, in later days, I will be able to say with greatest pride, That I was indeed, a Soldier!! By: George L. Skypeck 173rd.           Just a note to say WELCOME HOME brother and good job on your site. I have a very good friend/brother who served with the Wolfhound, Tom Demunick. I have all the respect in the world for you guys and the service in Vietnam. If you care to take a look at our site at http://www.e20-lrp-c75-rgr.org. I served on Team 1-1, i.e. first platoon if you see those pictures there I am the one with the Swedish K in the team photo. Again just wanted to say good job on your site and WELCOME HOME!! Another site you might enjoy is http://www,palletmastersworkshop.com/namflash.html This site is dedicated to all of us who served and made by Nam vets kids. It is a great tribute site but I warn you it will bring tears to your eyes. I am working on setting up a PTSD forum board and will let Tom Demunick know if I succeed so he can pass it on to you guys if you are interested. It will be a site for us, vets, to help vets in what ever way we can. Take care brothers and Charlie Mike.
