I was a Wolfhound for only 4 months when I was wounded. Land mine got me as it did so many others. Thank you so much EASY for your web sit. I have been looking for a long time for faces and names of those I could not remember.. Who knows why things happen when they do. I guess only the good Lord knows.

I have been trying to find any of the guys from my unit, especially 3rd Plt. If any of you were there or know of some one who was please contact me at my e-mail address. I am also looking for anyone who has pictures of Ft. Ord and Panama during or after Operation Just Cause. I lost all of mine in a tornado back in 2001. I would also like to find the Brigade Co - Col. Burney - the Cold Steel PT master, 1st SGT Gershon?, Cpt Star, SGT Horn, Spec Milios, Spec Stearns, Spec Edward Moreno, Spec Joe Medina, as I said any body from Charlie Co. Thanks. LISWATS!!!!!!!!!!

It's always a treat to look in on your web site, Easy, just as it is heart warming to see you in person at one or another of the Wolfhound gatherings every year. Nec Aspere Terrent, Rock. After reading through the many letters from the Korean War era, I neglected to say that I served in "Dog" Co, 1st Bn, 27th Inf from Aug 50 to Sep 51. A big Hello to all of my brother Hounds from Frozen Chosin too. A lot of VN vets are not award that there were then 3 Battalions that made up the Regt., with letter designations that went on up through the alphabet (H,I,L,M etc) in the 2d and 3d BNs.

Hey Easy great site.Nice meeting you and the other hounds in Melbourne last year. It was my first experence out with vietnam brothers.. A company 2nd platoon of 1969 will be having a reunion in Nashville Tn April the 16th 2004.7 weeks and counting!! There is only about 18 of us left..we have lost about 5 in the last 3 years to AO.. This will be the first time I have seen these brothers in 30+ years.. I feel sometimes that I can't face it... Keep up the good work on the site Will try to see ya again in Melbourne this year... I SERVED WITH DURING 67-68 I WAS WITH THE HOUNDS DURING TET 68...I REMEMBER THE BEING FLOWN INTO TON SO NOOK AIR BASE TO GUARD WESTMORELANDS COMPOUND...I DON,T THINK WESTY LIKED US TWO DAYS THERE THEN WE MADE A S&D OUTSIDE THE WIRE AND WENT THRU A TEXTILE FACTORY ACROSS FROM THE AIR STRIP...ONE OF THE HOUNDS WAS GOARED BY A WATER BUFFALO AS WE HEADED THRU A SMALL STREAM BRFORE THE TEXTILE PLANT...THE LOBBY WAS PAINTED RED...FLOORS AND WALLS UP AS FAR AS YOU COULD REACH...THE NVA AND VC WOULD BRING THE WOUNDED IN THERE THE ROOM WAS PAINTED RED SO THERE BLOOD DID NOT SHOW...THERE WAS A BIG PILE OF HERB IN THE CENTER OF THE LOBBY...THEY WERE GETTING THERE WOUNDED SMOKED UP THEN SENDING THEM BACK TO THE WIRE AROUND THE AIR BASE...AM LOOKING FOR ANY HOUNDS THAT WERE THERE WHEN I WAS WITH YOU GUYS...I AM PART HOUND MYSELF...ANY HOUNDS THAT REMEMBER THIS AND MANY MORE FIRE FIGHTS AROUND TET 68 PLEASE GET IN TOUCH...XRAFX@LIVENET.NET...SGT E-5 ROGER FIFTAL 757 4845633 GOD BLESS

Great to see the guys are staying in touch through the efforts of sites like this. I had the pleasure of commnanding D Co for about six months and then to serve as the XO of the "Hounds" for the rest of the year. I have some great memories. HELLO EASY, I served with TJ Balentine,Greg Lieberman, Hippie, Dave Gamboa, Ray Diaz, Mike O,Conner, Frank Puglesee, Bimbo JAMES BROWN, lT. Allen Waterson&Tom Bowes/ HENRY ELDRIDGE ,MIKE CANNADY. Captain Marshal Sharp &Capt Kotrc& Sgt Pritchard , Cruze , Ed Spear. I served from the end of TET to the 3rd Diamond Offensive. I held every positionexcept the dooper in 3rd platoon including PLT Leader because of such a shortage of LTS. These names only represent the men I knew best. I am certain that I knew Steve Walker ,but not well. I knew an Ed Walker better. These men represent every race from all parts of the country even though it is a small list. A good friend of mine served with 1/27 from Mar 68 to June 17 1968 Larry Olson was killed at Hoc Mon Bridge during June offensive. He was a radio operator.
