A lot of VN vets are not award that there were then 3 Battalions that made up the Regt., with letter designations that went on up through the alphabet (H,I,L,M etc) in the 2d and 3d BNs. It was my first experence out with vietnam brothers.. A company 2nd platoon of 1969 will be having a reunion in Nashville Tn April the 16th 2004.7 weeks and counting!! There is only about 18 of us left..we have lost about 5 in the last 3 years to AO.. This will be the first time I have seen these brothers in 30+ years.. I feel sometimes that I can't face it... I am certain that I knew Steve Walker ,but not well. I knew an Ed Walker better. These men represent every race from all parts of the country even though it is a small list. A good friend of mine served with 1/27 from Mar 68 to June 17 1968 Larry Olson was killed at Hoc Mon Bridge during June offensive. He was a radio operator.
